Are you an experienced Outside Machinist looking fora hands-on role in ship repair? Avail Staffing is seeking skilledprofessionals to support the repair of U.S. Naval vessels in Hampton Roads.If you have 3+ years of experience working on ABS or NAVSEA-certifiedvessels, we want you on our team!

What You'll Do:

Remove, repair,overhaul, install, and align main propulsion machinery and auxiliaryequipment, including:

  • Compressors, condensers, pumps, and forced draft blowers
  • Cargo handling machinery, anchor gear, cranes, and davits
  • Elevators, conveyors, firefighting systems, and more

Install and repairfoundations for ship machinery and major components of ship armament.

Test and inspectinstalled machinery and equipment during dock and sea trials.

Use precision toolssuch as calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges, and assist withoptical equipment.
