Hardware System Integrator - Apple Vision Pro Description

Upon joining our team as a Hardware System Integrator, you will be directly applying your engineering expertise and working with many cross‑functional teams to realize products that consumers will love. We collaborate with a large number of groups to bring a product from concept to mass production. Our goal is to help define exciting product features that will touch our customers. Therefore you’ll have the ability to solve challenging engineering problems by selecting components, designing schematics, directing layout, and bringing up and debugging circuits in the lab. You will work alongside partner teams to realize prototypes to aid in product definition and user testing. You will have access to state‑of‑the‑art test equipment in labs to perform characterization of your circuits. You will also be able to define test criteria and execute these test plans on functional prototypes to demonstrate the robustness of your designs. Some domestic and international travel will be required. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and proactive collaboration. You are curious-minded, always seeking to learn while offering your expertise to teach and help others.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals
  • Minimum experience of a relevant hardware engineering internship
  • Experience with schematic capture & layout review
  • Experience in prototyping, bring‑up, debug and validation
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Example: expertise in hardware bring‑up and bench measurements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and identify product tradeoffs (power, performance, etc.) and optimize designs to meet requirements
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems with focus on meeting tight constraints (i.e., power, size)
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: CPU/SOC, power (DC‑DC converters, battery, power management, low‑power design), analog circuits, wireless systems, sensor design and integration
  • Experience working with mechanical design and software development teams
  • Experience with high‑speed and low‑speed digital interfaces
Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range: $126,800 – $220,900, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the competitive base salary, Apple employees may become shareholders through discretionary restricted stock unit awards and may purchase Apple stock at a discount via the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and educational reimbursement for tuition. The role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments and relocation assistance.
