• Conduct individual counseling sessions via video chat to assess and improve clients’ mental health.
• Facilitate discussions where clients can express their emotions and experiences, fostering self-reflection and personal growth.
• Advocate for clients by helping them articulate their goals and strategize their paths to achieving those goals.
• Utilize a solution-focused approach to evaluate clients' mental conditions and design personalized treatment plans that reflect your clinical competencies.

You will work exclusively with stable adult clients who have been pre-screened to ensure that they are experiencing low acuity mental health issues. This enables you to focus your therapeutic efforts on clients whose needs align with your expertise, ensuring fruitful therapeutic relationships. Each client is thoughtfully matched to you based on mutual specialties and demographic considerations.

To be eligible for this role, you must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A full, unrestricted license to practice independently in New York State as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Effective communication skills to build rapport with clients and facilitate open dialogues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature, essential for nurturing client relationships.
• Proficiency in technology with an understanding of how to efficiently use telehealth platforms.

While not mandatory, previous experience with telehealth modalities and familiarity with solution-focused therapy techniques will be highly advantageous. Additionally, candidates with backgrounds in various therapeutic frameworks will find their skills well-utilized at Empowerment Psychology.

Empowerment Psychology Care Clinic offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, based on experience and the number of hours worked. We also provide a monthly healthcare stipend for full-time counselors to assist with health-related costs. Payments are made through weekly direct deposits, ensuring timely remuneration for your work.
