Our client is a privately owned small animal veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their welcoming and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to practice hands-on medicine in a collaborative environment where every day brings a mix of appointments, diagnostics, and surgery.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with half days on Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Scheduling is flexible and open to discussion, with both full-time and part-time options available. Full-time hours can be worked across four or five days per week depending on preference. Regular Saturday shifts are not required, although occasional cover may be needed for vacation days at this hospital or a nearby sister practice.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will manage a varied general practice caseload including wellness care, preventative medicine, diagnostics, client education, and surgical procedures. A typical day includes a balance of appointments and surgery, with most consultations scheduled in 30-minute blocks to allow thorough case workups and strong client communication.
