Position Summary
Davcor Aviation Services is seeking two experienced Aircraft Structural Technicians to support aircraft maintenance operations in Maine, working on CRJ-200, Challenger, and Saab aircraft.
This position is responsible for performing aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and inspections accurately and in accordance with applicable technical documentation, engineering requirements, and approved procedures. The Aircraft Structural Technician must have strong hands-on structural experience, including precise drilling, fastener removal and installation, structural damage assessment, and aircraft structural repairs.
The successful candidate will be capable of working independently with little to no supervision while demonstrating strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, safety, compliance, and workmanship. Candidates must represent Davcor Aviation Services with pride, professionalism, and integrity.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Perform structural repairs, modifications, and inspections on CRJ-200, Challenger, and Saab aircraft
  • Perform precise drilling, fastener removal, and fastener installation in accordance with approved procedures and technical documentation
  • Inspect aircraft structures for damage, defects, wear, corrosion, and other conditions requiring repair or further evaluation
  • Assess structural damage and determine appropriate repair requirements based on approved technical documentation
  • Perform aircraft structural repairs and modifications accurately and in accordance with applicable procedures
  • Read, understand, interpret, and work from Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and engineering drawings
  • Work with aircraft structural components and apply appropriate repair procedures and techniques
  • Ensure completed repairs, modifications, and inspections meet applicable quality, safety, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain strong attention to detail throughout all structural repair and inspection activities
  • Work independently with little to no supervision while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company, customer, FAA, OSHA, and applicable safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Davcor Aviation Services
  • Demonstrate pride, professionalism, integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic
  • Support extended hours and changing operational requirements as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structural repair, modification, and inspection practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency with precise drilling, fastener removal, fastener installation, and structural repairs
  • Familiarity with aircraft structural components, structural damage assessment, and approved repair procedures
  • Ability to read, understand, and work from SRMs, AMMs, ADs, SBs, and engineering drawings
  • Ability to accurately perform structural repairs, modifications, and inspections in accordance with technical documentation and approved procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Strong understanding of aviation safety and compliance requirements
  • Ability to identify structural defects, damage, and conditions requiring repair or further evaluation

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience performing aircraft structural repairs and inspections
  • Previous experience working on CRJ-200, Challenger, and/or Saab aircraft preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with precise drilling, fastener removal, fastener installation, and aircraft structural repairs
  • Experience performing aircraft structural modifications and inspections
  • Experience working from aircraft technical manuals, engineering drawings, and other approved maintenance documentation
  • Familiarity with aircraft structural components, repair procedures, and structural damage assessment
  • Ability to perform assigned work independently with little to no supervision
  • Ability to safely work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as required
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be willing and able to work extended and long hours when required by operational needs
  • Must be flexible and willing to work any shift and any day of the week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Requires standing and working for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and working in various physical positions
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more as required
  • Ability to safely enter and perform work in confined spaces
  • Requires eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and precise use of aircraft maintenance tools and equipment
  • Exposure to hangars, flight lines, maintenance facilities, and aircraft maintenance environments
  • Exposure to aircraft noise and varying environmental conditions
  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and safety gear
  • Ability to perform physically demanding aircraft structural repair, modification, and inspection tasks for extended periods
  • Must be able to safely perform assigned duties during extended shifts and changing operational schedules
