Job Summary:
The Aerospace Corporation is the trusted partner to the nationโ€™s space programs, providing unmatched technical expertise in various aspects of space. They are seeking an experienced AI Product Owner to lead the development and delivery of innovative AI-native business solutions, bridging business strategy and technical execution while ensuring successful delivery of transformative solutions.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and management to execute enterprise IT efforts
โ€ข Develop relationships and build consensus with business stakeholders to elicit requirements and codify business processes
โ€ข Communicate technical opportunities and constraints to business stakeholders
โ€ข Facilitate re-engineering of business processes to optimize them
โ€ข Lead and perform technical analyses of alternatives / trade studies
โ€ข Work with project manager, team leads, and stakeholders to provide and track LOE estimations
โ€ข Lead and facilitate PI (product increment) and sprint planning sessions
โ€ข Design optimum user experiences (UX)
โ€ข Anticipate, identify, and remove/mitigate risks, impediments, and technical debts.
โ€ข Define, track, and report appropriate KPIs and ROIs of delivered solutions
โ€ข Facilitate discussions, conflict resolution, and data driven decision making.
โ€ข Responsible for ensuring stakeholder satisfactions
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Systems or other relevant field of study
โ€ข Eight or more years of relevant experience in computer science or information systems
โ€ข Experience with designing & delivering workflow automations
โ€ข Experience building and delivering solutions on the cloud (AWS, Azure)
โ€ข Experience designing optimum user experiences (UX)
โ€ข Experience leading business process re-engineering
โ€ข Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, and facilitate decision-making despite ambiguity and incomplete information
โ€ข Strong communication skills with a demonstrated proficiency at adapting communication to both business and technical stakeholders
โ€ข Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer site/domestically approx. 10% of the time
โ€ข This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred:
โ€ข Ten or more years of relevant experience in computer science or information systems
โ€ข Five or more years of professional software engineering experience (using Java, Python, Spring Boot etc.)
โ€ข Experience with solution architecture, DevSecOps, and AI-native tooling like Claude code and MS365 Copilot
โ€ข Experience with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence)
โ€ข Advanced degree (Masters, MBA, PhD) in relevant discipline
โ€ข Experience with ITIL processes
โ€ข Experience with designing & delivering classic workflow automations using workflow engine like Camunda as well as AI-native agentic solutions using LLMs, RAGs, and AI Agents
โ€ข Professional certification in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Generative AI
โ€ข Agile or Scrum certification (CSPO, CSM, CSP, PMI-ACP or related)
