Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Job Description

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T) in Rolla, Missouri is seeking outstanding applicants for a non‑tenure-track (NTT) teaching faculty position at the assistant/associate professor rank. NTT teaching faculty members contribute to the core activity of teaching and are fully engaged in the department’s curriculum development and delivery. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality teaching at the undergraduate level across a range of fundamental mechanical and aerospace engineering courses. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching strength and interest in instrumentation and controls, however the successful candidate will need to teach other fundamental courses to the mechanical or aerospace undergraduate curricula.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field. Successful prior teaching experience is an important consideration. Industrial experience is very desirable but not required.
