Job Description
The School of Accountancy in the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track (NTT) faculty position beginning no later than Fall 2027. The appointment is expected to be made at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, although exceptionally qualified candidates may be considered for appointment at a higher teaching rank.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a graduate degree in accounting or a closely related field and be willing to teach four course sections per semester. Professional accounting experience and/or certification are preferred. Candidates with a doctoral degree in accounting or a closely related field are also encouraged to apply.
Evaluation Criteria:
Candidates will be evaluated on the following dimensions:
• Teaching: Demonstrated ability or strong potential to provide high-quality instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels across one or more areas of accounting. The School has teaching needs in areas including financial accounting and managerial and cost accounting, but candidates with expertise in any area of accounting are encouraged to apply. The ability to incorporate data analytics, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence into courses will also be considered.
• Student Engagement: Commitment to student success through advising, mentoring, experiential learning, student organizations, or other activities that enhance the student experience.
• Service: Ability and willingness to contribute to curriculum development, committee service, and outreach that supports the School of Accountancy, the College, and the accounting profession.
• Professional Experience: Relevant professional accounting experience and professional certifications.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for University benefits.
