Accountant

Location: Issaquah, WA (Onsite)

Our client is a growing equipment services company serving customers throughout the Pacific Northwest. They are known for delivering exceptional customer service, high-quality equipment solutions, and maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented culture. As the company continues to grow, they are looking to add an experienced Accountant to their finance team.

Position Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This individual will work closely with the Controller and assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, forecasting, and general accounting operation functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and wants to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Perform monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Analyze financial data and investigate account variances
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
  • Prepare sales and use tax filings
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
  • Help prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Assist with annual audit requests and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency
  • Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Experience with ERP/accounting software
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

This position offers a salary range of $105,000 to $115,000 base dependent on experience.
