Job description

Landscape Designer - Fort Lauderdale

We are seeking a creative and motivated Landscape Designer to support the development of design concepts and visual presentations for a variety of projects, including municipal, commercial, and public spaces. This role works closely with licensed Landscape Architects and project teams to bring ideas to life through renderings, plans, and graphics that balance aesthetics, functionality, and environmental considerations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to grow within a collaborative, design-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop conceptual designs, sketches, and visualizations to support project proposals
  • Produce high-quality renderings, presentation boards, and graphics to communicate design intent
  • Collaborate with Landscape Architects, planners, and multidisciplinary teams to refine designs
  • Assist with layout plans and drafting using AutoCAD or similar tools
  • Research and recommend plant materials, hardscape elements, and site features
  • Incorporate feedback from project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies into design revisions
  • Support client presentations and participate in project discussions as needed
  • Occasionally assist with site visits to gather information and support project coordination

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture (Master's preferred)
  • 1+ years of professional experience in landscape design or related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
  • Familiarity with SketchUp, Lumion, or other 3D visualization tools
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong graphic, visualization, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and grow

Work Environment & Schedule
  • In-office for the first six (6) months; hybrid work arrangement available thereafter
  • Primarily office/studio-based work with occasional field/site visits
  • Moderate travel for site visits, meetings, or project support
