Travel Nurse RN - Renal Med Surg

Minimum experience: 1 year; 1st timers are accepted

Patient population: Adults to geriatrics

Certifications required: BLS

General skills and work setting requirements: Renal Med Surg Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 49 rooms with average daily census of 48

Unit systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub color: Navy blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere

Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed

Call requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as one)
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as one)
  • New Years Eve/New Years Day (counts as one)
