POSITION SUMMARY

This individual works in conjunction with the Support Services departments to ensure compliance of all facility security and life safety issues for residents and staff. The Security Manager designs and implements processes, checklists, quality control, training and communications which are both resident and staff facing. Additionally, working with the Director of Facilities, maximized the deployment of technology solutions which improves the effectiveness of security services and improves overall labor efficiency. The position will assist with special projects and new challenges as they arise within the community, or as assigned by the Director of Facilities. The Security Manager maintains the currency of the applicable content of the Resident Handbook and ensures team members are thoroughly conversant with its contents. This position must keep a focus upon and guard against scope creep. This position is also responsible for the management of Transportation Services at Lakewood and all related quality control, scheduling and process design.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead and develop our security and concierge team across all shifts, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Oversee all campus safety operations including fire safety compliance, emergency preparedness planning, and after-hours drills
  • Manage access control, badge systems, call box programming, and parking operations to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
  • Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services
  • Conduct campus investigations, review incident reports, and ensure thorough follow-up
  • Maintain and improve the resident experience at the 24-hour concierge desk, setting clear service expectations and accountability standards
  • Administer and train staff on security systems including SARA and Worxhub
  • Develop and maintain a performance scorecard to drive continuous improvement in safety and resident satisfaction
  • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and all applicable regulations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting/pushing/pulling/ of 50+ lbs.
  • Availability to work various shifts as needed.
  • Depending upon assignment may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others
