Position Summary

The Director of Asset Services is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and financial management of all asset service activities across the organization. This role oversees the complete lifecycle of compression assets, including maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspections, field services, reliability programs, inventory optimization, and asset utilization. The Director ensures operational excellence, customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and profitability while supporting the company's growth objectives and long-term asset management strategy.

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for overhaul operations, including engine overhauls, compressor overhauls, power generation equipment rebuilds, remanufacturing activities, component repair programs, and major maintenance initiatives.

Develop and execute asset management strategies that maximize equipment reliability, utilization, asset lifecycle performance, operational efficiency, and profitability while supporting company growth objectives.

Drive continuous improvement efforts through process standardization, operational excellence initiatives, and the implementation of best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.

Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets while achieving revenue, margin, productivity, and financial performance targets.

Oversee workforce planning, staffing, succession planning, and employee development to build a highly skilled technical organization.

Lead capacity planning and resource allocation efforts to effectively support fleet demand, customer projects, outage schedules, and business growth.

Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and other internal teams to optimize overhaul planning, parts availability, scheduling, and customer support activities.

Champion the use of technology and systems to drive efficiency accross the teams and organization.

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture consistent with company values, operational excellence standards, and environmental compliance requirements.

Education, Experience, & Training

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in compression, oil and gas, industrial services, equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.

Experience managing asset service operations, maintenance programs, overhaul facilities, or field service organizations.

Skills and Competencies

Strong understanding of compression equipment, rotating equipment, engines, and related asset management principles.

Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and asset lifecycle management practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency with ERP systems, maintenance management software, and data analysis tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

Up to 50% travel

Must be able to stand or walk on uneven terrain

Exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions and environments on a location-by-location basis

High noise environment (>85 dbA) will occur with ear protection

Potential controlled exposure to hazardous chemicals

Standing, sitting, walking for long periods of time

Climb stairs and ladders
