Job description

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Oversee vendor qualification procedures, onboarding processes, and contract negotiation
  • Drive high-level vendor management strategies
  • Manage product schedules, budgets, and objectives
  • Analyze business and financial results
  • Evaluate vendor services and products
  • Develop and implement action plans based on analysis
  • Conduct regular audits
  • Resolve conflicts or issues promptly
  • Guide and implement innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives
  • Review and approve vendor invoices
  • Train and mentor team members
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for new and existing vendors
  • Generate and execute innovative ideas to improve vendor relationships
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or educational experience in related field preferred, or relevant work experience
  • 10+ relevant experience4+ leadership
  • Extensive experience in asset recovery, impounds, or vehicle remarketing
  • Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives that improve recovery rates, reduce operational costs, and optimize the remarketing of repossessed vehicles
  • Deep knowledge of relevant industry regulations, laws, and best practices related to vehicle impounding and remarketing
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent vendor management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and asset management or remarketing software
