Job description

Position Summary The Asset Maintenance and Reliability Engineer supports the reliability, mechanical integrity, and performance of Pilot Water Solutions' pipeline and saltwater disposal assets by partnering with operations, engineering, and HSEQ teams to develop maintenance strategies, improve asset availability, and reduce operational risk. This role provides technical expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability for static and rotating equipment while supporting CMMS optimization, maintenance projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Salary commensurate with experience.

The position reports to the Asset Integrity and Reliability Manager and is based in Midland/Odessa, TX with expected travel to other company's sites and areas of operations. Pilot Water Solutions ("PWS") is the most reliable name in water midstream. PWS is a full service, full life cycle water midstream company with assets across the Permian, Eagle Ford, Rockies, Haynesville, and Appalachia.

With strategically located assets in the core of its basins, Pilot Water Solutions is positioned to meet the needs of its customers with best-in-class service and reliability. Essential Job Duties Supports the oversight, implementation, and adoption of the Corporate Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Maximo. Assists in developing and standardizing static and rotating equipment maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards and best practices, including Job Plans, Task Lists, Task List Bill of Materials, Maintenance Intervals etc.

Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria for new and repaired/rebuilt equipment. Works with operations and HSEQ to identify key areas for Mechanical Integrity improvements and develop action plans to drive higher asset availability. Demonstrates working knowledge of API 570 and API 650 standards in inspection and equipment evaluation activities.

Familiarity of NDE methods and applicability regarding API inspections. Provides engineering expertise to support inspection findings, failure analysis, and equipment upgrades or repairs. Conducts root cause analyses and recommend corrective actions to address failure modes or failure mechanisms in fixed and rotating equipment.

Experience with Asset Performance Management Software Creates AFEs and maintain maintenance project schedules for rebuilds and small OPEX projects. Assists with investigations into all incidents and liaises with appropriate stakeholders. Supports procurement strategy, vendor qualification, and performance reviews.

Endorses new technologies and third-party solutions. Assists in de-bottlenecking projects as required. Complies with all Company policies and procedures; adheres and is compliant to safety and environmental guidelines.

Assists with other assigned duties and projects based on business needs. This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering 5 years rotating equipment experience. 3 years knowledge of relevant API standards - API 570/650. Experience with Preventative and Predictive Maintenance relating to Rotating Equipment (centrifugal pumps, H-pumps, PD pumps), Electrical equipment (motors and VFDs) as well as Static Equipment (Pipelines, Storage Tanks/Vessels, filters).

Strong experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System Software. Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and Degradation Mechanisms. Root Cause Analysis Training (Cause Map, Fault Tree, 5 Why's, Fishbone, Taproot etc).

Proactive problem-solver with strong critical and analytic skills Strong organization, planning and time-management skills for multiple priorities. Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of organization. Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Able to travel as needed; 50%

Preferred Qualifications 10 years of Asset Reliability experience Experience with Maximo CMMS software or comparable aptitude with other CMMS software. Certification in API 570/650 Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Office environment with ability to visit field sites in which may be exposed to loud noises, occupational hazards, and/or other outdoor elements. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer Required to operate a company pool vehicle for on-site visits and field assignments Must have a valid driver's license and be deemed insurable by the Company's insurance provider.
