$21.85 - $32.80Major Responsibilities:
  • Performs functional, physical and usability assessments on medical equipment technology.
  • Analyzes AIR requests for the disposition of medical equipment in order to coordinate both internal and contracted vendor resources for technical assessments, transportation and processing.
  • Safely and securely handles and transports medical equipment throughout the organization.
  • Serves as a technical resource on the functionality and usability of medical equipment to caregivers in order for them to make decisions on AIR program submissions and acquisitions.
  • Maintains complete and accurate maintenance, physical location and technical assessment records within the medical equipment database for all medical equipment assets within the scope of the AIR program.
  • Responsible for consistently, efficiently and accurately documenting and reporting records for AIR program data including but not limited to, transport schedules, all service requests and a detailed inventory.
  • Interacts with Aurora caregivers and leadership to provide information on the availability and viability of AIR program medical equipment assets in order to maximize the value and useful life of these assets within the organization
  • Assures that all environmental and regulatory concerns are properly addressed for the disposal of medical equipment assets. Adheres to all known personal and environmental safety standards within the AIR warehouse.
  • Interacts with external preferred medical equipment buyers to schedule the sale and pick-up of AIR assets.
  • Makes recommendations to improve deficiencies and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
  • A valid drivers license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Education Required:
  • High School Graduate.

Experience Required:
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in AIR, medical equipment management, support or related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Working knowledge of asset investment recovery and medical equipment management databases.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products.
  • Current driver's license granted by the state of residency with a driving record that meets Aurora fleet safety standards and proof of automobile liability insurance.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Must have good customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively and responsibly without immediate, direct supervision.
  • May require use of personal vehicle for travel to various sites.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Exposed to warehouse environment the majority of the day. Occasional exposure to storage areas including basements of large facilities, normal office environment and patient care areas.
  • Working environment may contain dust/dirt, fumes and odors.
  • May drive an Aurora-provided vehicle and thus is exposed to weather and road conditions as well as mechanical hazards.
  • Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to:
  • - lift up to 25 lbs. from floor to waist and up to 25 lbs. overhead.
  • - lift and carry up to 40 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to:
  • - push with 50 lbs. of force.
  • - pull with 40 lbs. of force.
  • Must be able to use a computer continuously throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Also, must be able to bend and stoop throughout the workday.
