Job description

The Fulfillment Center Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for assisting the LP Manager in administering the Loss Prevention, shortage control, and Safety programs for fulfillment center(s) associated with the Belk E-Commerce program. The Fulfillment Center Loss Prevention Supervisor supervises a team of Belk Loss Prevention Associates as well as other contracted security personnel as needed. This individual maintains a strong working relationship with other areas of the Belk business, including corporate Loss Prevention and Supply Chain personnel. The Fulfillment Center Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for reducing and controlling shortage and conducting investigations, as well as supporting Safety and Risk Management initiatives at the facility.

  • Supervise Loss Prevention Associates to ensure all LP and Safety related functions are executed within the facility
  • Assist in ensuring that all DC policies and procedures are complied with, specifically those relevant to safety and asset protection/Loss Prevention
  • Writes clear and concise incident reports on all incidents relative to theft,
  • damaged assets, serious accidents, etc. that are related to the fulfillment center
  • Documents all reports of theft in the appropriate automated computer applications (LP folders)
  • Conducts daily random associate checks/searches and documents results in the appropriate computer applications in the LP folder
  • Observes associate activity/movement throughout the facility via CCTV during normal working hours and reviews after hours video of random areas of the facility (e.g, yard area, high value areas, etc,) for suspicious activities and documents times of observation/review. Overall makes a diligent effort to detect indicators of possible associate theft/dishonesty
  • Conducts audits of designated trailers utilized by the fulfillment center. Also assists receiving, customer service, and other staff in locating missing merchandise, order reconciliation and follows up on discrepancies and documents findings
  • Conducts daily searches of the personal belongings of all associates leaving the building on break, at the end of shifts, and at any other time they are observed leaving the building, or such as is deemed appropriate
  • Conducts daily walks through the facility looking for safety, security, and policy
  • or procedure violations and documents infractions in writing and takes other appropriate corrective action
  • Assist stores in resolving actual and/or perceived pre-delivery or in transit shortage related issues by conducting investigations into reports of missing merchandise and documents findings
  • Assists in the development, implementation, training and monitoring of DC safety related policies and procedures
  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing data that would assist in identifying shortage problems (e.g., where the problem may be and who is responsible)
  • Ensures that all reported or discovered Loss Prevention and safety related incidents and accidents are documented and communicated to the LP Manager
  • Makes apprehensions, sign warrants, attends court, and otherwise follows through in the prosecution of associates/others involved in theft or security-related incidents
