Asset protection involves working to protect the assets of a business from theft, fraud, and, sometimes, seizure due to liability. The job duties of an employee who works in asset protection vary depending on their employer. These positions are often available in retail stores, where someone’s job duties may be to monitor operations or use surveillance equipment to look for instances of shoplifting or other types of theft.
