ABOUT THE ROLE
Location: Dallas store
Status: Part-Time
Compensation: $20.00-$23.00/hr
Position Summary:
The Kith Asset Protection is imperative in the daily functions of the store's retail operations. The individual is professional, aware, and detail oriented within the retail space. Ensuring the safety of store staff and customers through diligent monitoring of the sales floor and entrance(s). Continuously contributes to the seamless operations of the store by managing any lines that form outside the store and helping in the execution of any product releases.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Monitor entrance(s) of the store, while managing traffic in and out of the store.
  • Check employee coats and bags upon entry & exit.
  • Handles undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons, and property.
  • Observe the sales floor for potential theft and fraud.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manage any lines/crowds that form outside of the store.
  • Provide support to both guests and team members in any safety, crowd management or crisis response situations.
  • Ensure the store is compliant with any building/city/state or federal ordinance regarding crowds inside and outside of the store.
  • Assist store management team with housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collection of trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard retail operations.

Special Projects/Tasks:
  • Assist in the execution of any in-store product releases, by managing and monitoring crowds/lines formed prior and during regular store operating hours.
  • Follow the direction of the Head of Security or General Manager in any emergency situations.

REQUIREMENTS
Availability:
  • Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.
  • Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business' needs require.

Licenses/Certificates:
  • Valid State Security Guard License/Certificate, or Level 2 guard certification (non-commissioned/unarmed) is required

Experience:
  • 0-3 years as Security
  • 0-3 years in Loss Prevention preferred but not required
  • 0-3 years in a customer facing environment
  • 1+ years in a Retail/Apparel environment

Skills/Abilities:
  • Effective communication with both internal and external customers
  • Crowd management
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to de-escalate conflicts
  • Ability to lift and move 25lbs.
  • Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
