Job description

Assistant Farm Manager
We are seeking a proactive, bilingual Assistant Farm Manager to help drive our large-scale hay farm in McArthur, CA. The ideal candidate will blend hands-on mechanical and agricultural expertise with exceptional leadership skills to manage diverse teams and complex logistics. We welcome applicants with strong backgrounds in agricultural, automotive, or industrial operations management who are ready to ensure high-quality production through collaborative leadership.
 
Employment Requirements
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Must be bilingual and able to communicate fluently regarding agricultural and mechanical operations in both English and Spanish.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, navigate uneven farm terrain, and routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • This position requires the ability to work variable shifts, including regular evening and night work during peak harvest seasons
Responsibilities
  • Large-Scale Hay Operation: Manage all aspects of a large-scale hay operation, with a primary focus on ensuring high-quality production.
  • Harvesting Decisions: Make critical decisions regarding the timing and execution of harvesting based on crop conditions, weather, ect.
  • Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinate trucking and squeeze schedules; manage the daily logistics for both personnel and machinery.
  • Inventory & Systems: Lead the implementation of the Limble Parts Management system and maintain oversight of all inventory.
  • Irrigation Management: Oversee and optimize all irrigation systems and practices.
  • Additional Projects: Manage other duties and projects as assigned by a superior officer. 
Compensation & Benefits Disclosure
  • Salary: $60,000 - $100,000 (DOE).
    Corder Farms Inc. intends to pay a single, fixed annual salary for this position.
  • Retirement Benefits: Employees have the option to enroll in the company's 401(k) Simple IRA retirement savings plan.
