Job DescriptionJoin CHEP Canada as an Asset Control Representative and play a critical role in protecting and recovering key supply chain assets while building strategic relationships across the province. In this dynamic, field-based role, you'll combine problem-solving, business acumen, and asset protection expertise to drive operational excellence, influence results, and make a direct impact on one of the world's leading supply chain solutions providers.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Execute proactive loss prevention and asset recovery programs throughout the region, ensuring the protection of CHEP proprietary information and intellectual property.
  • Apply data analysis, audits, investigations, and training programs to minimize loss and maximize asset control.
  • Lead fraud prevention efforts by monitoring, investigating, and prosecuting both internal and external fraud cases to ensure asset security and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Transportation, Customer Service, and other functions to mitigate loss exposure and enhance asset protection across multiple departments.
  • Collect, analyze, and categorize data related to criminal activities, maintaining a comprehensive database for future investigations and asset recovery efforts.
  • Conduct investigations into potential threats from external operatives or competitors attempting to exploit business practices, focusing on internet security, social media monitoring, and mitigating criminal enterprises.

Position Purpose

This position owns the Asset Protection function of Asset Management in Ontario, Canada. They will implement the Asset Management strategy with the objective of maximizing asset productivity, asset recovery, and delivering CHEP's value proposition to the equipment dealer/recycler channels. This position provides insight on Asset Recovery and interfaces with CHEP NA to ensure best practices are being followed. This position is a key driver in building CHEPs value proposition and strengthening our position in the market. This position tackles some of the most hostile locations that CHEP employees will encounter.

Scope

  • Responsible for all Asset Protection activities within the Province of Ontario.

  • Field based role with travel required 60-80% of the time, depending on location

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Engage with and monitor highly confrontational and potentially hostile pallet recycler locations across Ontario

  • Enforcement of CHEPs legal title and ownership of its assets

  • Lead in regional legal actions against any entity that does not comply with CHEPs asset ownership and property rights

  • Engage with any commercial account that is uncooperative while working within the CHEP model/pool utilizing their expertise in dealing with hostile/confrontational situations/locations

  • Engage with local and regional authorities to help or assist in the collection and return of CHEP assets

  • This position will support key Non-Cooperative Distributor locations

  • Due to the high-risk nature of this position, must maintain and be proactive in attending safety training sessions and be a peer leader in this space

  • Maintain detailed records of all interactions, including pictures/drone footage of recycler locations that can be used in legal actions

  • Manage process for increasing collections at recyclers with cross functional teams ie. Low Volume Recovery and logistics teams

  • Maintains accurate and up to date account information and key contact information in Salesforce including activity reporting

  • Maintenance and regulation of stray asset recovery and non-revenue earning asset programs through communication and enforcement of ownership rights in compliance with commercial terms and Asset Protection policies

  • Enhancement and monitoring of all control systems and performance metrics to track asset productivity, minimize losses, and decrease asset cycle time

Compensation Statement

Base pay range is $79,000 to $109,000 CAD annually. Compensation ranges provided take into account a wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications, geographic differentials and other business and organizational needs. Therefore, actual amounts offered may be higher or lower than the range provided. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be part of a total offering beyond medical & retirement benefits and may include other monetary incentives or business benefits.

  • En raison de la nature a haut risque de ce poste, le titulaire doit suivre assidument et de maniere proactive les seances de formation en matiere de securite et jouer un role de leader aupres de ses pairs dans ce domaine

  • Tenir des registres detailles de toutes les interactions, y compris des photos et des sequences filmees par drone des sites de recyclage pouvant servir dans le cadre d'actions en justice
