Your Role With Us:

As a Guest Services Specialist, Facilities Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Facilities team in maintaining the operational integrity, safety, and appearance of the property. Under the guidance of the Chief Engineer and Facilities leader, you will assist in day-to-day maintenance tasks, perform minor repairs, and contribute to the overall upkeep of the property to ensure guest satisfaction and protect the long-term value of the hotelโ€™s assets. Your proactive approach will help ensure that the property remains fully functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Senior Facilities Staff: Work closely with the Chief Engineer and Facilities Specialist to ensure seamless property operations and address any maintenance requests or projects efficiently.
  • Support Preventative Maintenance: Help execute preventative maintenance tasks, including filter replacements, minor HVAC upkeep, and assisting with plumbing and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
  • Assist with Groundskeeping and Facilities: Help maintain the exterior appearance of the property, including basic landscaping duties and keeping outdoor areas safe and clean.
  • Assist with Room Repairs: Perform basic repairs in guest rooms, such as fixing room fixtures, replacing light bulbs, and addressing minor electrical or plumbing issues.
  • Safety & Security Checks: Assist with inspecting fire alarms, smoke detectors, and other safety equipment to ensure all systems are operational. Notify senior staff of any issues that require immediate attention.
  • Pool Maintenance: Support pool maintenance efforts by testing water quality and assisting with routine pool equipment checks to ensure guest safety.
  • Inventory and Tools Management: Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly, accessible, and organized. Assist with tracking inventory of maintenance supplies.
