Job description

Job Description: Responsible for the efficient administration of all CSR operations in compliance with all applicable casino policies, rules, and gaming regulations. Responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities in the vault, which relate to revenue generated on property, are in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions and internal policies, procedures, and controls of the casino.

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensure the integrity of all financial data produced by team members under his/her span of control.
  2. Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieving proper management of department.
  3. Monitor all financial activities in the vault, with respect to revenue accounting, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the casino, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming commission are enforced throughout the Vault.
  4. Responsible for the development of sound and efficient operating procedures and reports that comply with all applicable rules and regulations and provides for the security and accountability of casino assets.
  5. Oversees all team management aspects including hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, evaluation, disciplining and dismissal of a diverse and changing work force.
  6. Strives for continual improvement in guest service and satisfaction throughout the property by developing departmental staff and working with other departments to provide the ultimate overall entertainment experience to the guests.
  7. Maintain adequate cash flow, based on business volume.
  8. Accountable to a high degree for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  9. Troubleshoot in the areas of system errors and/or audit questions.
  10. Create financial spreadsheets on computer, programming necessary formulas into the file, and updating information on a regular basis.
  11. Review Gaming and Tax reconciliations and reports, to ensure accuracy and timely transmission of information to appropriate entities.
  12. Act as a representative of the casino, administrative interaction with team members in a courteous and professional manner. Trains management team in these skills.
  13. Personally, investigates any actual losses or overages of $100 or more and reports information to the Director of Finance.
  14. Work a variety of hours to ensure efficient operation at peak times and visibility with all team members.
  15. Professional appearance (well-groomed).
  16. Performs other duties and projects as required by management.

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years experience in casino Cage operations and/or banking industry, including at least four years cash handling experience and two years management and personnel supervision experience.
  • Knowledge of all documentation as required for each staff member per shift.
  • Understanding of sound and effective internal control procedures with the ability to devise effective controls through departmental structure and processing of assets and documents.
  • Ability to always exercise good judgment, including under stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Good verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries, complaints or requests from tribal officials, regulatory agencies, customers, management, team members, and/or the public
  • Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
  • Kickapoo Tribal Gaming License.
