Job Summary:
Spark Tek Inc is seeking an experienced Senior CMDB & Asset Management Administrator to lead the implementation and ongoing administration of their IT asset management and CMDB function. This role involves building and shaping asset lifecycle management processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute against a strategic roadmap.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) capabilities.
• Collaborate with database, cloud, and software configuration teams to align asset and configuration data.
• Define and maintain asset lifecycle processes, standards, and documentation.
• Manage software license tracking (Excel, visio, etc) and compliance across the organization.
• Support Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) efforts.
• Provide executional support for the CMDB and asset management roadmap defined by leadership.
• Assist in identifying the appropriate tools and licenses for asset and configuration management systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of experience in IT Asset Management and/or CMDB administration.
• Proven track record of implementing or maturing ITAM/CMDB in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow or other CMDB platforms.
• Skilled in software license management and compliance tracking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Visio for documentation and reporting.
• Understanding of software configuration and database management processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
