Job description

Asset Management Analyst

CW Financial Services LLC ("CW") is a premier, full-service real estate firm providing innovative solutions to institutional clients across the commercial real estate finance sector. We are known for leveraging sophisticated capital markets structuring techniques and delivering exceptional value to our partners. We have earned the respect of our borrowers and investors through our demonstrated commitment to their success - by identifying opportunities, providing guidance, anticipating challenges, developing creative solutions and retaining an investment in our own loan products. We are seeking a skilled risk manager to join our team.

As an Analyst, you will play a key role in the management and resolution of non-performing commercial real estate loans and REO assets across a variety of asset classes, including but not limited to office, industrial, retail, multifamily, hospitality, and specialized asset types. You will also perform credit analyses on pools of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), with exposure to both agency and non-agency debt. This position can be based in Washington D.C., New York, or Dallas offices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain Excel models to evaluate property cash flows and valuations across various commercial real estate asset classes.
  • Conduct asset valuations through in-depth market research, including comparable property and industry analysis, leveraging broker relationships, third-party data platforms, independent investigation, and a solid understanding of capital markets.
  • Perform on-site property inspections and management interviews across the United States.
  • Oversee third-party vendors, including property managers, construction managers, and leasing agents, to execute business plans and preserve asset value.
  • Contribute to the resolution of defaulted loans and REO assets by reviewing broker opinions of value, offering memoranda, appraisals, and other due diligence materials; present conclusions to internal credit committees.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across CW's loan and REO portfolio.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven recommendations and updates to CW's client base through written reports and direct interactions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced analytical skills with a strong command of financial modeling and real estate return metrics.
  • Excellent written communication and persuasive writing abilities.
  • Ability to effectively present complex information to diverse stakeholders, including those unfamiliar with specific markets.
  • Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the initiative to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in commercial real estate finance, structured finance, or asset management across multiple property types.
  • Proven understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, valuation methods, and financial structures.

*The requirements above reflect our ideal candidate profile, but studies show that many strong candidates don't apply simply because they don't meet every qualification listed. If you're excited about this opportunity and believe you have the skills and drive to grow into it, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

The base salary range for this role is provided in accordance with local regulations, but salary represents just one component of the total compensation package. Additional elements such as bonuses, overtime, deferred cash (where applicable), benefits, perks, and company contributions to 401(k) plans-often result in total compensation significantly exceeding the base salary. Compensation is influenced by individual performance, tenure, experience, geographic location, business unit needs, company performance, and market conditions.

CW Financial Services LLC, along with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status protected by applicable law.
