As a Loan Origination Associate II within our team, you will play a crucial role in the loan lifecycle, ensuring seamless transaction closings. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize processes and drive improvements. Your work will have a meaningful impact on our operations and contribute to the success of our clients and the firm. You will engage with both internal and external clients, managing expectations and ensuring compliance with credit and asset conditions. Your strategic planning and problem-solving skills will be key in identifying opportunities for process enhancements, making a significant contribution to our equipment finance loan/lease deals.
Job responsibilities 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Client, Relationship Managers, and Underwriters to ensure accurate documentation and facilitate seamless transaction closing. This involves leveraging strong communication and teamwork skills to align all parties and address any discrepancies promptly. 
  • Engage with clients to manage expectations and gather necessary items for closing, utilizing interpersonal skills to build trust and ensure a positive client experience throughout the loan origination process. 
  • Ensure credit and asset conditions are met in compliance with guidelines by applying analytical skills and attention to detail, reviewing all documentation thoroughly to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance. 
  • Utilize strategic planning skills to optimize the loan origination process, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and implementing solutions that enhance workflow and reduce processing times. 
  • Prepare and send documentation packages with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all required information is included and accurately presented to support successful loan closings. 
  • Work on projects to improve current processes and procedures, contributing innovative ideas and solutions that drive continuous improvement and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the loan origination function.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 
  • Expertise in loan origination or related lending services, proven with at least four years of experience, demonstrating strong conflict management and critical thinking capabilities. 
  • Advanced strategic planning skills, enabling effective resource allocation and long-term goal setting. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, ensuring efficient handling of multiple tasks and projects. 
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 
  • Expertise in equipment finance loan/lease deals, with a proven track record of facilitating discussions and creating win-win solutions. 
  • Ability to generate conclusions consistent with facts and associated risks, leveraging AI/ML to enhance lending processes and improve decision-making capabilities. 
  • Proven ability to manage change initiatives, adapting lending services to evolving market conditions and technologies, while using market product knowledge to align services with industry trends and client needs.
  • Skilled in creating quantitative reports to track lending performance and support strategic planning efforts.
