Job Summary
The Assembly/Deburr Technician plays a vital role in preparing precision components for final assembly and shipment. This position is responsible for deburring, assembling, and inspecting machined parts to ensure they meet 5th Axis's high standards for quality and performance. A regular and predictable schedule is required.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Deburr and assemble machined components for shipment according to company procedures.
  • Operate hand tools, shop equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Move finished products between workstations, QC, and shipping areas as needed.
  • Perform visual inspections to verify product quality and conformance to standards.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assigned projects accurately and on time.
  • Record work times, quantities, and materials used for each job.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area-returning tools and materials to designated areas daily.
  • Follow all company policies and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Report equipment issues, product discrepancies, or injuries promptly to management.
  • Support other departments when needed and perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and pay close attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
  • Epicor ERP experience (preferred).
  • Previous customer service or manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
