Job description

Assists in the assembly of stock and special-order steel and fiberglass doors. Regularly working with saws, cutout machines, and pneumatic tools to create and customize doors based on pre-established protocols and customer orders. Pulls orders from stock, loads orders onto delivery trucks and unloads stock as it comes in; maintains work area in a safe, clean and orderly manner.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to do basic math, read instructions and complete forms accurately
  • Communicate with other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting procedures
  • Physical Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 75 lbs. Frequently lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with manual dexterity, and reach over head to grasp materials and see (acuity, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation)
  • Job Specific Accountabilities
  • Prep material for assembly using exact measurements
  • Works with wood to assemble doors with nail gun and other machines
  • Operate several different saws to cut material
  • Make necessary repairs or adjustments to assure quality
  • Meet standards for quality as set forth by the company
  • Inspect machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
  • Immediately reports any safety concerns to the supervisor or general manager
