General Job Description

Dogwood Industries is seeking an Assembly Worker to join our team. A successful candidate is someone who can efficiently and accurately assemble components and materials, in accordance with plans and specifications, as directed by others. The candidate must be able to understand written and verbal instructions while following drawings and work instructions. While the individual will work with metal cladding, insulation, and steel components; a successful candidate will have experience in carpentry or roofing, material handling, mechanical assembly, and maintain a safe work environment through organization and housekeeping.


Duties & Responsibilities

Assembling of structural metal building panels in a manufacturing setting.

Operation of hand and power tools.

Accurate use of measuring devices including squares and tape measures.

Participation in safe material handling and suspended load movements.

Ability to follow instructions and execute assigned duties.

Complete tasks within set timeframes to ensure goals are met.

Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements

High school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree.

2+ years of experience with general trade skills for siding/roofing/metalworking or assembly.

Ability to select the proper tool for the tasks and ensure proper operation.

Skillful operation of non-specialized shop equipment.

Participates in the development of processes for repeatable execution of tasks.


Physical Requirements/ Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 50 pounds. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This position requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment. The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.


Compensation

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. 

There are shift differentials for Weekend Shift

This is an onsite position at Dogwood's Everett Factory: 3200 35th Ave. NE Everett, WA 98201. Work will be completed in a construction type, manufacturing setting, primarily under cover.
