Job Title: General Production Worker – Electronic AssemblyJob Description

This role focuses on performing electronic assembly of switches used in military, government, agriculture, and healthcare applications. You will work with small components and precision tools to assemble parts onto printed circuit boards, ensuring accurate and high-quality builds. The position requires strong attention to detail, reliable productivity, and the ability to work effectively at an individual workstation throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic switches and components for use in military, government, agriculture, and healthcare products.
• Handle small parts with care and maintain strong hand–eye coordination while performing detailed assembly tasks.
• Use hand tools and, when needed, power tools to build and assemble various component parts.
• Gather and organize materials and components required for each job or work order before starting assembly.
• Place and secure electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) using small and precision hand tools.
• Follow written instructions, diagrams, or work orders to complete assemblies accurately and consistently.
• Work at an individual workstation, standing or sitting for extended periods while maintaining focus and productivity.
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality, identifying and correcting basic assembly errors when possible.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle tools and materials safely and efficiently.
• Support production needs by working overtime as required, including 3–4 additional hours daily when needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform electronic assembly work with small parts and components.
• Strong hand–eye dexterity for precise handling and placement of parts on printed circuit boards.
• Experience using small and precision hand tools in an assembly or production environment.
• Comfort working with hand tools and power tools to build and assemble component parts.
• High attention to detail and the ability to closely follow instructions and assembly processes.
• Capability to stand or sit at a workstation for most of the shift while maintaining focus and productivity.
• Willingness and ability to work 1st or 2nd shift schedules as assigned.
• Willingness to work 3–4 hours of overtime daily, averaging 50–60 hours per week.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Solder certification is a plus and may enhance your candidacy.
• Experience with pick-and-place equipment is a plus and may influence compensation decisions.
• Previous experience as an electronic assembler or in a similar manufacturing or production role is beneficial.
• Familiarity with working in a manufacturing environment with structured workstations and production lines is helpful.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing environment with long rows of workstations, typically arranged with five workstations per row. You will work at your own station, spending much of the day either standing or sitting while performing detailed assembly tasks. The culture is relaxed but results-oriented, with expectations that you understand your responsibilities and complete your work with minimal supervision. The facility operates multiple shifts, including 1st shift (approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with flexibility to start as early as 5:30 a.m.) and 2nd shift (approximately 3:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.), and currently requires significant overtime, often 3–4 additional hours per day for a 50–60 hour workweek. Health and safety protocols include temperature checks and brief medical questions upon arrival and again near the end of the shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
