Production Associate


Position Summary:The Production Associate assists in the manufacturing and assembly of products, ensuring efficient operations on the production line and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in production areas. Responsibilities include but not limited to, operating machinery, handling raw materials, performing quality checks, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role often requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Operate production equipment and machinery according to standard procedures.
  • Assemble and package products or components efficiently and accurately.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials and products to and from different areas of the production floor.
  • Inspect products for defects or inconsistencies and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document production data, including quantities produced and any issues encountered during the process.
  • Keep workstations and production areas clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Work closely with other team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve any issues.
  • Follow established procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency and quality in production.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize production equipment, tools and work areas to prevent contamination.
  • Dispose of waste materials properly and ensure that trash and recyclables are handled according to company policy.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow safety procedures to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and repetitive motion.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and adherence to standards.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors

Requirements:

  • Safety toed shoes (composite or steel-toe) are required when working on-site.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; kneel; talk; or hear, and hand grip. The employee may frequently lift, pull or push and /or move more than 50 pounds. Frequently use copier, scanner, fax machine, phone, and computer equipment.
