Job description

Bunzl Safety is seeking a production worker for our facility in Piperton, TN.  The Production Worker will assemble boxes or make alterations to various product. The Production Associate is responsible for learning proper procedures and product information required to perform the job in a manner consistent to company objectives. The Production Associate assures the quality, and quantity of the product produced.

Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm

Responsibilities:                                

  • The Production Associate will perform labeling, bagging, boxing and preparing finished goods for shipping of the Value-Added Services (VAS) department
  • Ensure all products produced in the VAS department are free of defects and produced according to QC procedures.
  • Inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and in accordance with OSHA standards. 

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED preferred.
    • Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or assembly experience preferred, but not required.
    • Follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic math and measurement skills.
    • Safely operate production equipment and machinery after training.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
    • Work independently and as part of a team.
    • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
    • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as required.
    • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
    • Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Must stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
