Job Description:
Our Assemblers are the backbone of what we do here at DAUCH. They are responsible for assembling all of our machined components into the final working product and act as a final quality check to ensure we are sending the very best product to our customers.
We are seeking an Assembler to join our team in Bluffton, IN. If you are someone who takes pride in producing a high quality product, enjoys working in a fast paced environment, and have a strong work ethic, we would love to speak with you!
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow standardized assembly procedures to assemble machined components into a finished product according to specifications/blueprints.
  • Perform visual checks to ensure the finished product meets all specifications and functionality requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Shift Supervisor when issues arise.
  • Pack finished products as instructed.
  • Complete all needed documentation.
  • Keep a safety first mindset by following all safety rules and operating in a safe manner.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, and know when to ask for help
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong attention to detail through repetitive operations to ensure high quality throughout the assembly process.
  • Comfortable working in a cooperative, team oriented, fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to take ownership of your role including performance and attendance accountability.
  • Willingness to work on traditional and non-traditional shifts

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Job involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and exerts 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping and bending
  • High mental and visual effort required
