Assembly Operations Manager Jobs in Texas (NOW HIRING)

Imagine starting your day on a buzzing production floor, greeting a team of welders, machine operators, and filter assembly experts as you line up work on more than twenty active projects. You coordinate with the Scheduler/Planner to lock in ship dates, review the morning’s factory orders and routing, and open the ERP (D365 preferred) to confirm materials are staged and transactions are accurate. By mid-morning, you’re coaching a welder through symbols and drawing interpretations as part of a Welder Workmanship Program you’ve built, and in the afternoon you’re collaborating with Project Managers to keep budgets on track while nudging Product Efficiency, Quality Performance, COPQ, OTD, and EHS&S metrics in the right direction.

• End-to-end supervision of shop-floor personnel throughout manufacturing and assembly.
• Optimal deployment of equipment, materials, and people to achieve maximum output.
• Daily alignment with the Scheduler/Planner to satisfy customer demand and shipping commitments.
• Training, safety stewardship, and oversight of general maintenance for plant and machinery, including performance reviews and assessments.
• Processing and control of all schedule paperwork issued from Planning/Engineering to the floor.
• Ownership of key performance benchmarks: Product Efficiency, Product Quality Performance, COPQ, OTD, and Environmental Health, Safety & Security.
• Hands-on leadership of a diverse workforce—welders, machine operators, and filter assembly—providing course-correcting guidance while sustaining a positive culture.
• Partnership with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Accuracy of day-to-day transactions across inventory, factory orders, and routing.
• Development and management of a Welder Workmanship Program; application of weld symbols, processes, and drawing interpretation to train new and seasoned welders.
• Other duties as required.

• 5–10+ years as a Production Supervisor in a welding manufacturing environment (required).
• Demonstrated experience with Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Continuous Process Improvement (required).
• Working knowledge of ERP systems for production tracking and materials management; D365 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (required).
• Background in production safety, inventory management, and standard manufacturing procedures (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or management (preferred).
• Travel: may involve some travel.
