Reporting to the Assembly, Test and Paint (ATP) Supervisor, the Assembly Technician will be responsible for providing quality workmanship on the assembly testing and painting of Company products while maintaining high standards.

ย Key position functions include:

  • Assemble, stamp and test gate valve assemblies in accordance with work order requirements.
  • Responsible to ensure assembly and testing meet work order requirements.
  • Identify non-conformances by separation and/or marking.
  • Maintain work station and equipment to an acceptable Stream-Flo standard of cleanliness.
  • Follow work order and process traveler requirements and fill out job sheets or record time using ERP system.
  • Report all machine, crane and hoist problems in the proper maintenance logs and notify.
  • Maintenance Department and/or lead hand/supervisor of a down time situation.
  • Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable standards/procedures.
  • Ensure processes and testing operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Work in conjunction with Industrial Engineering to achieve and maintain best practices.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Lead Hand/Supervisor.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • Related assembly, testing and painting experience.
  • Mechanical assembly/repair experience.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Computer skills are an asset.
  • Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitorsโ€™ equipment would be an asset.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Detail oriented, strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
