Job description

Title: Production Associate
Location: Sumter, SC
Pay: $15.50/hour + $0.40/hour shift differential
Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM-8:00 PM; E shift; 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off; weekends included
Employment Type: W2 Assignment with potential for extension or conversion to FTE based on business needs

Job summary

This position is with a leading medical device manufacturer and involves hands-on production and assembly work in a manufacturing environment. The Production Associate performs a combination of fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and packaging tasks for medical devices, along with equipment setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality inspection. The role follows clearly defined SOPs, scientific methods, and quality guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices.
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspections on the processing line according to quality specifications.
  • Use basic measurement tools, such as microscopes, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Perform duties requiring standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Lift or move at least 50 pounds when required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing assembly experience required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Steel-toe shoes required.
  • Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work regularly and punctually.
