HIRING IMMEDIATELY: ASSEMBLY ASSOCIATE IN ELGIN, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Assembly Associate to join our team in Elgin, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for performing repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrated ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions, and more listed below. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $18 to $20/hour
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • 1st shift 6am to 2:30pm
  • Located in Elgin, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assembles parts per customer specifications.
  • Bolts, clips, screws, glues, solders, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
  • Works at different work stations as production needs require.
  • Works on line where tasks may vary as different models of the same article moves along the line.
  • Inspects work space and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum capability.
  • Maintain calibration of equipment and preventive maintenance of tooling and fixtures.
  • Completes all documentation as assigned i.e. torque verification log, job tag sign off, glue fill logs etc.
  • Plan and work within written procedures and initiate improvements.
  • Keeps the work area clean and neat.
  • Gather necessary production data and quality measurements and enter into the quality/macola module. Accurate control of parts issued to a job and scrap, including serial numbers.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed work instructions.
  • Any and all duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrates the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Also the ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Use of computer system to issue material, labor and record quality data
  • Person must be able to sit comfortably; possess excellent fine motor skills in areas such as small parts production and assembly; entering of computer data; and working with paperwork.
  • Person is required to frequently reach with hands and arms; walk; climb; stoop; kneel; and push and pull large objects.
  • Person must exhibit excellent gross motor dexterity and coordination as they might regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs; and at times be able to use force to push/pull over 75 pounds with assistance of casters, and lift equipment provided.
  • Person must be able to speak clearly to be heard; as well as hear work related instructions from co-workers, door bells, lift truck noises and other equipment moving around them.
  • Person must be able to adequately perform tasks requiring close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
