Job description

Job Title: Mechanical Repair Assembler 
Type of Role: Contract to Hire 
Shift / Hours: 1st (6:00AM to 2:30PM)/ 2nd Shift (2:00PM to 10:30PM)
Location: Carrollton, TX
Hourly Range: $16- $18


Job Purpose:
Assemble Electro-Mechanical Assemblies per specifications and inspect complex electrical/electronic subassemblies or assemblies.
Nature of Duties:
· Read, comprehend, interpret & follow basic work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, & other written instructions. Follow established procedures to accurately assemble products
· Assembles components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies
· Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools
· Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts
· Identify product defects and report on to appropriate personnel
· Keep accurate records/logs etc.
· Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment
· Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
· 0 – 1 years experience, training is provided
· A strong mechanical aptitude.
· Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time, safely lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance if required).
· Basic computer skills – email, work instructions.
· Attention to detail.
· Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Physical Demands:
Required to sit and/or stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally may need to exert up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move object
