Starting pay for new Machine Operators is $22.65, plus a 15% shift differential for 3rd shift

Hypertherm Associates' Technical Training Institute (HTTI) will guide you as you learn the valuable trade of CNC Machine Operation through a US Department of Labor approved Apprenticeship Program. The CNC Fundamentals course through HTTI is approximately 4 weeks long on 1st shift, from 7am to 3:30pm.

As a CNC Machine Operator, working with your team members, you will produce machined parts for our plasma cutting systems through machining, assembly, and packaging tasks in an assigned manufacturing area, using standard work instructions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Must pass a pre-employment assessment following initial screening

  • Comfort and interest in working with technology, including experience and familiarity using MS Office (Outlook/Excel) and Windows Operating Systems

  • A positive attitude

  • Ability and willingness to learn technical material in a school-like setting

  • Excitement about working with a team and within our collaborative ownership culture

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to follow and process instructions

  • Basic math understanding

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work off-shift hours (3rd shift is Sun-Thurs, 11pm-7am)


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment

  • Standing for extended periods - 8-hour shifts

  • Repetitive motion

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced factory setting

Starting hourly base pay is $22.65/hour for new Machine Operators. $23.65 will be the hourly rate with an achievement of Machine Operator II certification following completion of HTTI (or for experienced Machine Operators, upon successful completion of an assessment)
