Job description

Apex Placement & Consulting has partnered with an exciting manufacturing organization seeking motivated and dependable Assembly Associates to join their team in Auburn Hills, MI. In this role, you will assemble automotive sunroof systems and components while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and committed to producing quality products as part of a team.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
  • Multiple Shifts Available
    1. 1st shift 4:00am-2:00pm
    2. 2nd shift 2:00pm-12:00am
  • Competitive hourly wage-$17.25/hr
  • Temporary position up to 10 months
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assemble automotive sunroof systems and related components according to standardized work instructions.
  • Follow all manufacturing process documentation and quality procedures.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
  • Safely operate common hand tools and assembly equipment.
  • Meet daily production and quality goals while maintaining required cycle times.
  • Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and company safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to support production objectives.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to visually inspect parts for defects and color variations.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and basic assembly equipment safely.
