Job description

Job Description Our Assembly Technician is a key role in our Distribution team. In this role, you would be responsible for the assembly and testing of hydraulic systems including; valves, pumps, motors, PTO's, and other products sold by FORCE America. Due to the variety of components and variation of builds, unique assembly abilities are needed. FORCE America has been an employee-owned hydraulic manufacturer and distributor for over 70 years. We are a leader in our markets for technology and customer focus. FORCE America's manufacturing divisions are recognized for personal responsiveness, product innovations and flexible designs. FORCE America's distribution chain reaches a customer base of over 17,000. FORCE America employs experienced design engineers, knowledgeable support staff and skilled production teams to ensure quality and service. Responsibilities:
  • Assemble fundamental components in accordance with the work instructions utilizing a combination of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Tests all assembled systems for standard expectations of quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications consistently and correctly.
  • Maintains system accuracy and record transactions in ERP operating system.
  • Communicate with appropriate parties in relation to expedited orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc.
  • Maintain safe and orderly work area.
  • Participate in the implementation of process improvements.
  • Participate in maintaining and suggesting safety practices and procedures.
  • Participate as a team member to achieve goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience, preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Strong sense of urgency and basic ability to prioritize in order to meet the expectations of the customer.

Schedule:
  • 5 - 8-hour days.
  • Working Hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and up to 25 lbs. of force on a regular basis through the day, depending on work related circumstances.

  • Must be able to lift objects from floor to above shoulder level. Must be able to move objects/parts/tools and equipment from one area to another and one level to another level.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination
  • Standing or sitting for up to 4 hours at a time.
