PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the area.

We are hiring for an Assembly Operator IV - Fiber Optics in Arden, NC


Shift: 1st M-F 7AM-3:30PM
Pay Rate: $25.50/hr


Assembly Operator Summary:

  • Perform advanced fiber optic cable and connector assembly, termination and testing

  • Support development and launch of new optical products from concept through production

  • Operate specialized fiber optic and electronic testing equipment

  • Assist with process improvements to increase manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs

  • Work independently while maintaining high-quality standards and supporting team objectives


Assembly Operator Responsibilities:

  • Polish and test fiber optic cables

  • Assemble and package fiber optic connector components

  • Conduct insertion loss (IL), return loss (RL), and visual inspections of single and multi-fiber assemblies.

  • Operate fiber routing and over-molding equipment as needed

  • Support prototype, test and new product introduction (NPI) builds

  • Measure components using calipers, gauges and other precision measuring devices

  • Inspect products using quality standards, work instructions and technical drawings

  • Perform EFG and IPC workmanship inspections

  • Operate optical and electronic test equipment including Optical Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters (DMM), Variable Power Supplies, Variable Attenuators and Optical/RF Switches


Assembly Operator Requirements:

  • High school Diploma or GED required

  • Ability to distinguish between color-coded fiber optic cables

  • Must be eligible to work under ITAR regulations

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience required, included at least 1 year of fiber optic manufacturing experience

  • Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and variable power supplies preferred

  • SAP Manufacturing and ISO 9001 experience preferred
