Junior Assembly Technician, an entry level role, has responsibility for picking and preparing parts for assembly production with accuracy, assembling regulators, hoses and related SCUBA equipment, performing WIP quality assurance checks on parts and products, testing and packaging. Our customers love our products, and our production team plays a vital role in delivering WOW.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for cleaning and inspecting individual parts as required to ensure quality prior to assembly
  • Responsible for assembly of diving regulator components (first and second stages), hoses and similar components according to engineering drawing specifications and standard operating procedures
  • Accountable for proper assembly using hand and/or power tools to assemble components
  • Accountable for using diagnostic equipment to set proper breathing resistance and interstage pressure limits
  • Accountable for conducting breathing resistance tests, underwater leak tests and pressure checks to ensure functionality and safety compliance
  • Accountable for maintaining accurate production records, test results and compliance logs
  • Accountable for maintaining organization and cleanliness of the assembly workspace
  • Accountable for supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Accountable for participating in inventory counts as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 -2 years working in a production/assembly environment
  • Basic functional computer skills, with experience with Microsoft Office helpful
  • Basic functional skill working on an iPad helpful
  • Able to proficiently communicate with others both written and verbally in English, preferred
  • Able to read and understand work instructions, schematics and follow and complete travelers required
  • Basic understanding of assembly processes and techniques preferred
  • Strong organizational abilities, effective time management and detail oriented and able to prioritize helpful
  • Able to use and comprehend specialty tools and torque wrenches a must
  • Travel expectations 0%
  • Physical Activities include long periods of standing. Able to walk in tight, small production spaces. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Able to use hand and power tools that may require wrist movements.
