Job description

We are in search of a highly dynamic individual with experience, background, and skills in the assembly, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields. Our products require precision assembly, testing, and validation, and are manufactured to the highest standards.
Our ideal candidate is highly organized, focused on details, self-motivated, and has mechanical and technical aptitude. Responsibilities include working in the compactor power units work cell, as well as assembly and testing of multiple styles of front and rear door electrical and pneumatic actuators door assembly work cell. This candidate will work from blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams and Process Standards Sheets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work side by side with team members to assemble and validate pneumatic and electrical chute doors and power units for compactors.
  • Work closely with supervisor to ensure all materials are available and meet specifications.
  • Use drawings and Bills of Material to properly assemble sub-assemblies and final assembly Base Plates.
  • Using pneumatic tools, hand tools, electric tools and torque tools to attach and properly secure a wide variety of components and subassemblies to a base plate. Constant use of the hands and excellent dexterity required.
  • Follows assembly drawings and verbal directions from Team Leader and supervisor.
  • Documents actions by completing production logs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Ability to follow instructions and management directive.
  • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in 2 or more of the following fields: Mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical installation, testing and assembly.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude. Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Knowledge of machine testing procedures.
  • Skillset to do power unit assembly
