Job description

Production Assembler I – Temporary Position
Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site | 9/80 Schedule
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Job Summary
A leading defense and advanced manufacturing company is seeking a Production Assembler I to join its Healdsburg, California team. This position is responsible for assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts and components, and electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, and completed products.
The Production Assembler I will use a variety of hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment to assemble, align, calibrate, and adjust components according to established specifications and quality standards.
This is a full-time, on-site temporary position working a 9/80 schedule. There may be an opportunity for the position to transition into a regular full-time role based on performance, attendance, business needs, and other determining factors.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, and units according to specifications and established manufacturing procedures.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Install and assemble mechanical and electrical/electronic components.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet required tolerances, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Repair or refit parts or units that do not meet testing or tolerance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate daily assembly and production records.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work effectively as part of a production team while meeting established production and quality expectations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Vocational or technical training preferred.
  • 1–3 years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of:
  • Mechanical assembly
  • Component installation
  • Calibration
  • Soldering
  • Troubleshooting
  • Functional testing
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and assembly procedures.
