Job description

Position: Forklift Operator 2nd Shift
Adecco Staffing is currently assisting a local client in hiring a Forklift Operator in Normal, IL. We are looking for an ideal candidate with proven experience operating forklifts.

Schedule
•    2nd Shift: 6:30 pm to 3 am


Key Responsibilities
•    Operate various types of material handling equipment including forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse
•    Safely load and unload shipments while adhering to OSHA and company safety standards in production and warehouse environments
•    Assemble mechanical parts per work instructions and customer specifications
•    Inspect parts and identify defects Inspect assembled components and identify defects or quality issues
•    Operate hand tools and basic assembly equipment safely and effectively
•    Read and follow production labels, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
•    Follow all safety and quality procedures
•    Maintain a clean and organized work area
•    Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership
Preferred Background
•    High School Diploma or GED required
•    Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting
•    Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and general warehouse safety standards
•    Manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred
•    Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions
•    Strong attention to detail and quality
•    Team-oriented mindset and reliable work ethic
Physical Requirements
•    Ability to stand between 8 and 10 hours per day and walk up to 5 hours per day
•    Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance
•    Ability to perform repetitive hand motions and fine finger dexterity
•    Ability to stoop, reach, push, and pull as needed
•    Good vision (including color vision), hearing, and speaking ability
 


Pay Details: $18.00 to $18.50 per hour
