Warehouse Associate
Location: Jessup, MD
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10am-7pm
** Must complete pre-employment screenings prior to first day of work.
** Must be available to start working immediately.
Position Summary:
We are looking for the next employee to join our team. This position requires assembly of fabricated parts as well as wiring and adjusting subassemblies to complete units for customer specification.
Responsibilities:
* Assembles fabricated parts, wiring and adjusting subassemblies to complete units.
* Uses hand tools when necessary.
* Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
* Packs finished product in designated cartons per customer order and department procedures.
* Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines and procedures to perform the functions of the job.
* Maintains a safe, orderly, and efficient assembly area.
* Works closely with the warehouse, combining individual efforts to better serve the customer. When the assembly area is slow, provide support in the warehouse reporting to the warehouse supervisor.
* Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Your personal safety is your responsibility.
* Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed.
* Performs other duties as obvious or assigned.
Qualifications:
* Strict attention to detail
* Good hand-eye coordination is needed for fine-motor assembly work.
* Steel toe safety boots required
* Must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet delivery needs.
* Ability to work well under pressure and follow instructions in a repetitive environment to meet production deadlines
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.
* Minimum High School Diploma.
