Kitting and Assembly Associate

Position Summary

The Kitting and Assembly associate is responsible for assembling, inspecting, packaging, and preparing products for shipment in accordance with established quality and productivity standards. This role supports all aspects of the kitting process, including material handling, labeling, scanning, quality checks, and maintaining an organize and safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble kits according to work instructions, production schedules, and specifications.
  • Apply labels and identification tags accurately to products and packaging.
  • Perform basic assembly tasks, including preparation and inspection of components prior to packaging.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure all kit contents are accurate, complete, and meet company standards.
  • Scan products and components using barcode scanners and update inventory systems as required.
  • Pack products using approved packaging materials and methods to ensure safe transportation.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment and assist with automated equipment as trained.
  • Stage materials and replenish workstations to maintain continuous workflow.
  • Assist with palletizing, wrapping, and preparing completed orders for shipment.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report discrepancies or shortages to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas using 5S principles.
  • Support cross-functional activities and perform other warehouse or production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in kitting, assembly, manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Experience using barcode scanners and working with inventory systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements
