Job Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler Technician to join our Space and Defense Group. The role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and follows an onsite schedule in Gilbert, AZ on a 9/80 workweek. A 10% shift differential applies at time of hire for second shift. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-reliability electrical assembly and soldering to IPC/J-STD and IPC 610/620 standards and a proven ability to deliver quality builds, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement in a controlled manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Perform soldering to IPC-J-STD on printed circuit boards, printed wire boards, and circuit card assemblies for through-hole and surface-mount applications. Assemble chassis and final units using circuit cards, wire harnesses, soldering and crimping tools, and precision instruments. Execute high-reliability soldering and crimping on complex sub-assemblies, including board-level repairs and jumper wire installations. Work with multi-pin connectors and assemblies to meet government and customer specifications. Interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and electronic work instructions. Follow ESD protocols and maintain certification standards for high-reliability soldering. Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot, rework, and improve testing procedures. Maintain cleanliness and traceability documentation for controlled programs. Required Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent formal training. 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly and soldering. Proficiency in crimping, medical device assembly, board-level repair, and electronic unit assembly. Familiarity with J-STD and IPC 610/620 standards, as well as torque and crimping tools. Preferred Skills: NASA 8739 soldering certification. Experience with avionics components, including circuit card rework, coating, and installation.
