Description
Publix warehouses have intricate Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) to store and retrieve thousands of items which are packaged and shipped to our stores. ASRS Maintenance Technicians perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on these ASRS machines, conveyors, and pallet lifts. The Technicians perform maintenance according to Publix policy, government regulations, manufacturer requirements, as well as their own personal knowledge of ASRS equipment. They use meters, laptops, and other test equipment in order to test, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment.
Starting pay rates depend on a technician's knowledge and experience. Future pay increases are based on performance.
One of the following positions is available: ASRS Maintenance Technician Class A, B, or C.
The position offered is contingent upon the qualifications and work experience of the candidate.

Other Compensation Information
Freezer differential: A $.50 per hour freezer differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled in the Frozen Food freezer.
Weekend differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
Night differential: A $.75 per hour night differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m. (this does not include shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00 a.m.
Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.

  • troubleshooting experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical theory, including three phase power, A.C. and D.C. power circuits, motor controls and PLCs
  • working knowledge of various electrical and industrial codes
  • experience supporting a wide range of different conveyors and sorting systems
  • experience with advanced automation controls systems

Work Environment
Temperatures could range from 20 degrees below to 90 degrees Fahrenheit for an extended period of time. May Require working at heights up to 80'.
